I've noticed an extremely draft proof house. A wonderful change since living in conventionally insulated houses. Although I heat primarily with wood, I heat a 3400 sq. foot house with a modest size wood stove. Try doing that with conventional insulation. One of the best investments I made when building a new home.

We were very surprised we had the bottom of a 28 by 70 foot mobile home foamed by Icynene. We basically had the bottom of our home done for many reasons. The skirting was blowing away, when the wind came up or the kids would knock it in, animals, it just wouldn't stay on. The pipes under our home also have heat tapes on, but would still freeze somewhere under there. To our surprise the winter 2005 we changed from 2-100lb tanks of propane to the 500 gallon tank I didn't receive a bill for that year. When I call in March 2006 which was filled in late October 2005 I was told they forgot us. To our surprise we only used 1 tank of propane. We normally would have used in the past I was on a automatic delivery every month for the 200lbs (2-100lb tanks) if I was forgotten I would run out.
